THE LAST FORM BEFORE YELLOWISM

CONSTRUCTION:
Let’s imagine a black rectangle and define the axis of symmetry in the middle of the figure. Then, cut out fragments, so the remaining black sections would form a series of vertical black lines. It would look a bit like a symmetrically structured bar code.
The time (based) sections are symmetrically aranged and separated with black intervals. I was working on the film’s timeline through an editing program  (Adobe Premiere) and treat it as if it was a surface of a painting. In fact, only during the editing process one can literally see the full structure and thus image of the entire film. It’s a specific simultaneity existing in both space and time where one can visualize icons of all the existing scenes and blacks in the film. If you however watched the film linearly on the screen – you see scenes followed by blacks , one after another. In the film beetwen the black intervals, I placed the scenes that construct the plot.

In this film ("Wittgenstein") story has been flattened to yellow. Last still in this film is the only image which appears between the yellow lines in next film ("Yellow").
